19 May Starting with a Bang
Well, 2015 has definitely started with a bang! Outdoor trips, speaking and gearing up for a big WPCA year to name a few. The weather over the summer period was amazing (sorry farmers!) and has enabled most of us to get outdoors and have a great kiwi summer. Over my holidays I’ve enjoyed some fishing on the Coromandel and a number of day trips into the Waitakere Ranges. But as the holiday period has come to an end for most, it’s back to work or school.
Mid-January I had my first presentation of the year in Queenstown. I was grateful to be invited to speak for an Australian Business Education Company: Business Blueprint. I shared the stage with some Australian greats, like Amanda Stevens, Mark Bouris (Chairman of Yellow Brick Road) and a good kiwi; John Anderson (Founder of Contiki). The obvious highlight was presenting to a great audience, but also exploring the beautiful Queenstown landscape. Work hard, play had.
2015 is going to be the biggest year yet for the WPCA as it’s becoming one of the fastest growing youth development programmes for young kiwi kids. With 48 schools and close to 1100 students spread across the nation, there’s going to be some great things happening. February and March are going to be busy months of traveling around the country – from Invercargill to Whangarei and speaking to 28 new WPCA schools and community groups. I encourage you to follow us on social media to get the latest news, events and see what groups I’m speaking to and who’s doing the WPCA!
